LETS FLY OUR KITES AGAIN!

Updated: Oct 8, 2021

We are here collectively for one reason only, to “save our beach”.

The benefits of our once beautiful beach are:

H ealth

O ur wellbeing

Y our recreation, to run, and play

L eisurely social strolls

A ctivity family fun days

K ey community fund raising events for the RNLI

E nvironmental tourism and foot fall for our local businesses

A once stunning golden landscape!

The benefits to our community were unmeasurable before all this upheaval.

A risk assessment was never considered nor undertaken before the decision was voted upon and taken. Wirral Borough Council are fully responsible for this disruption in our lives. They are very much out of touch with real people’s feelings and needs.

To add insult to injury Wirral Borough Council appear to have stopped listening or replying to local concerns via the “Hoylake Beach - Have Your Say” portal.

But, rest assured, our community spirit won’t just fade away!

We are not a bunch of nature haters as portrayed by many on social media.

We do acknowledge and cherish the nature of this area. We are very concerned about the impact of the alien Spartina grasses growing rapidly through our waders feeding grounds, on Meols foreshore.

More than ever, we need to stay focused. Our eyes must be fixed on Wirral Borough Council who are the root cause of this disruption, and have divided our wonderful community. They are showing no concerns for how this decision is affecting local people’s daily lives.

There appears to be one agenda which promotes nature and wilding, yet no thought or consideration about the impact on human beings, and their health and wellbeing.

We are not wrong to want our sandy beach back! A beautiful beach brightens every day, This campaign is for our children, and for our grandchildren to enjoy our beach as we once did!

We dearly miss the RNLI fundraising days, the annual Boxing Day tug-of-war.

We miss the much needed community fundraising events which are no longer allowed.

One thing is for sure, we cannot let go of this great community spirit! We will fight for Hoylake’s most valuable asset, “The Beach”.

That's why we are here and doing what we can to reverse Wirral Borough Councils decision for the sake of everyone who enjoys Hoylake Amenity Beach.

Lets fly our kites again!
