Today (7th May 2026), we can announce that Hoylake Beach Community
has received exciting news regarding our TVG application.
The independent inspector tasked with making the decision after December’s legal hearing has recommended that WBC accepts the TVG in full. It’s now over to WBC ( the landowner) to ratify this decision asap and formulate a new beach management plan for further amenity beach clearance in the near future!
This is fantastic news for Wirral and demonstrates how hard work, grit & determination can achieve great things!
We need to thank our tremendous community, as without your support morally, emotionally, financially & in spirit & drive we would never have achieved this latest victory for our community. Further thanks go to our hardworking, tenacious & dedicated local councillors Andrew, Tony & Max who have tirelessly supported this campaign, a real team effort!
HBC committee would like to thank the amazing people who started this campaign all those years ago ( you know who you are) and over the last 7 years all the others who have picked up and ran with the gauntlet!
Special mention goes to our much missed HBC committee
member and fountain of knowledge Dr Frank McArdle and
his wife Mandy, without whom we would not be here a
gentleman and a Scholar.
